Born and raised on the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada, I’ve always been Inspired by the granite Shores of the Atlantic Coastline. Drawing from childhood, I quickly developed an affinity for painting. Oil is my preferred medium, though I enjoy painting in acrylic and watercolor as well. Digital painting and drawing have become additional creative outlets allowing me to continue to evolve artisticly.
I’ve completed multiple courses through the extended studies program at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, as well as having spent a short (though influential) time in my youth learning from the accomplished Halifax Artist, Christopher Webb. Despite my passion for Art, I studied Science at Dalhousie University and received a Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in Nursing. After many years working in Intensive Care, I needed to find my way back to painting. I’ve been so lucky to have had the opportunity to take in world renown Art Galleries in Florence and New York. Continuing to learn and develop as a Painter has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
More recently, I’ve been studying Photography. I love to observe and capture the diversity in family structures, as well as scenic woodland and coastal landscapes.
